WDE c мультизагрузкой

Вот такое вот решение мне помогло продолжить процесс дешифрации:

I recently installed Ubuntu on an external USB drive- that's another project to document for another time. I installed on an external drive because first, it's cool, and second because I was using PGP WDE. During this process I accidently installed GRUB over the MBR of my internal disk, corrupting the PGP bootloader. Oops. I tried using the PGP "rescue disk" (MUST BE THE SAME VERSION!) to recover the MBR or at the very least my data, but it would fail with the error "Internal Error accessing disk 0x80". I contacted PGP support, and they said I probably lost all my data, and I would probably have to format. I ended up backing up my corrupted MBR (just in case), and booting the Windows XP recovery console from the install disk. I ran "fixmbr", and then booted the PGP recovery CD. YAY! Instead of the error, it searched for and found the WDE! Now my only option was the decrypt the entire 80GB drive... 30+ hours later I was PGP WDE free (and never going back). Some tips:
"dd if=/dev/sda of=/bootsect.img bs=512 count=1" is your friend!
In Windows, you can use the AWESOME tool HDHacker to backup and restore the MBR and boot sectors!
I also used an external enclosure and tried to rescue the disk from a different PGP install (MUST BE THE SAME VERSION!) using pgpwde.exe, but I was unable to do so. I got some different error messages after trying a few things, and one told me to use the GUI. I tried that too, but all options were greyed out.
Some other errors I encountered using another PGP install and the external USB enclosure:
Disk is instrumented, use PGPdesk UI to decrypt disk!
Invalid stage2 start sector
Passphrase did not match
In retrospect, after doing "fixmbr" I probably could have used the external enclosure again to restore my data much faster- apparently the recover CD is significantly slower than it is in Windows.
If support tells you it can't be done, don't always listen! They told me it wouldn't work and I needed to format!
