PGP Desktop Home 9.5 предлагается только в виде постоянной (Perpetual) лицензии. Не предусмотрена возможность апгрейда до следующей версии (10, когда она выйдет) и отсутствует поддержка.

PGP Desktop Professional 9.5 предлагается как постоянная (Perpetual) лицензия с поддержкой (PGP Maintenance) и как подписка (Subscription). Customers purchasing PGP Desktop Professional 9.5 as a Perpetual-Only License with PGP Maintenance are entitled to Upgrades and Updates during the term of PGP Maintenance (1 year on initial purchase) and maintenance releases of the product indefinitely. Customers purchasing PGP Desktop Professional 9.5 as a Subscription License are entitled to Upgrades, Updates, and maintenance release during the term of the Subscription License (1 year on initial purchase).

PGP Perpetual-Only License entitles the customer to use the designated PGP software indefinitely, including access to all Maintenance releases, but does not include any Upgrades or Updates subsequently released. PGP Desktop Home is available as a Perpetual-Only License; customers wanting new versions must purchase new licenses.

PGP Perpetual License with PGP Maintenance entitles the customer to use the designated PGP software indefinitely, plus receive all Upgrades and Updates to the licensed software during the valid PGP Maintenance period; PGP Maintenance must be renewed annually. A Perpetual License with PGP Maintenance is available for all new PGP Command Line, PGP Desktop, PGP NetShare, PGP Whole Disk Encryption,  PGP Universal Gateway Email, and PGP Universal Server products.

PGP Maintenance License Renewal entitles a customer with a Perpetual License with expiring PGP Maintenance to continue to receive Software Upgrades and Software Updates during the term of the renewed Software Insurance, typically 1 year.

PGP Subscription License entitles the customer to use the designated PGP software during the subscription period designated on the order, typically 1 year. Customers choosing Subscription Licenses receive the current version of PGP software and all Upgrades and Updates to the licensed software during the subscription period. Subscription Licenses are available for all new PGP Command Line, PGP Desktop, PGP NetShare, PGP Whole Disk Encryption, PGP Universal Gateway Email, and PGP Universal Server products.
